Gold Certificate: All shell eggs served on your premises must have been laid by British free range hens and all other egg products and egg derivatives used as ingredients must have been laid by free range hens. Silver Certificate: All shell eggs used on your premises must have been laid by British free range hens. If you know of any such business, please email us and we’ll get in touch with them to verify the source of their eggs and, if applicable, present them with our Eggsellence Award. It can be any kind of eating outlet: a local bistro, tea rooms, Michelin starred restaurant, motorway services cafeteria, pub, garden centre … just about anywhere that serves food! We will promote the local business, the farmer who supplies the free range eggs and of course the British free range hen! There’s no limit on how many details you give us – we’re interested in everyone who uses and serves only British free range eggs and we want to say thank you to them. Once we’ve checked out your recommendations we’ll add them to our growing list of hen friendly places to eat.
